Using professional
hair care products not only can improve the quality of your look, and
the suppleness of your hair, but it can make you look and feel much
better about yourself than you otherwise would. Even if you aren't
particularly vain (and I know I'm not) you can buy pro hair care
products simply out of an appreciation of their superior quality, and
they will do wonders for your hair, as well as improving your self
image. Besides that, professional hair care products often have the
most delicious, fragrant aromas of any other hair care products, and
who doesn't want to smell pleasant to those around him.
My favorite professional hair care product is hair gel. Other
professional hair care products will get you clean, but gel allows a
certain playfulness that is otherwise lacking. With gel professional
hair care products you can style your hair into any shape or
configuration which you fancy. You can slick it back, lower it over one
eye, or even stick it straight up in the air. Of course, if gel is too
much for you and you don't like the “slicked” look,
there are other professional hair care products which you might prefer.
Moose will let you style your hair sort of like gel does, but it is not
nearly as oily, and doesn't leave it visibly glistening. It still gives
you some hold though, and lets you do a variety of interesting things
with your hair.
I haven't used pro hair care products all my life, and my approach used
to be just the opposite. When I was a hippy, I dreadlocked my hair, and
instead of professional hair care products I used all types of strange
household products to get it to hold its shape. Honey, glue, and plain
old dirt all play their roll in getting dreads to take. Almost anything
can be used except professional hair care products! After that, I still
didn't use professional hair care products, but simply employed soap
for everything. I would keep my hair very short in a buzz cut, and so I
figured, why waste money on shampoo when soap is good enough to
maintain my hair as it is. Once I started growing longer hair, however,
I knew that this approach wouldn't last, and soon switched from cheap
imitations to professional hair care products which were easier on my
hair, and also made me feel so much better.
