The new world of
beverages is forever changing. When the coffee craze hit in the 90s,
everyone and anyone could be spotted with a latte in hand. What's funny
is that people always drank coffee on a daily basis, but suddenly it
was
transformed into something with a little more appeal than just some old
grounds in a coffee pot. There were java drinks of all shapes and
sizes, and to suit any tastes. These days another popular trend has
burst onto the beverage market, and it's called chai tea. If you've
been in pretty much any coffee house recently, then you've certainly
seen it added to the menu.
Chai tea is a big seller these days. It's a nice spicy blend, but
without that drab earl grey taste. The great thing is that it offers
those few non-coffee drinkers a second choice. Don't care for a shot of
espresso, then try a nice chai tea or chai latte. I recall the first
time I tested this new beverage. I was craving something different, but
not hot traditional tea. The barista suggested that I try a chai tea
latte. I remember thinking, what the hech is that? I watched her blend
a liquid tea with milk and then pour it over ice. It looked similar to
an iced coffee. Well, it only took one swig. This stuff was amazing. I
soon found out that you can buy chai tea in liquid or powder form,
however most people seem to recommend the liquid for a better
taste.
Whether your thing
is hot tea, iced tea, or even blended tea drinks, you can have it all
with chai tea. If you haven't checked out the local grocer, it's time
to do so. You will find a variety of chai teas that can easily be
blended with milk or even soy milk to make a tasty drink in seconds.
It's actually easier than making a latte, and I have to admit it's
healthier than taking in all of those coffee toxins. If you're one of
the few who don't like coffee, like my brother, you should give chai
tea a try. I got my entire family to try it and all of them think it's
great. You can hop online and see what the fuss is all about, or just
head over to your local coffee shop for a taste. I haven't seen a
coffee house that doesn't offer the refreshing drink yet. This new-age
spiced tea comes in all shapes and sizes, and certainly isn't any of
that old stuffy British tea that you try to avoid. Give chai tea a try
today.
